Cheché Valdés

Multidisciplinary designer and gallerist, born in Caracas and now based in Barcelona. She is deeply passionate about art and design, exhibiting a strong sensitivity towards crafts and timeless pieces.

  1. I’m Gallery Manager at Beta Contemporary.
  2. Also, freelance product and lighting designer for Skye Manusell and Jordi Veciana.
  3. Lived in Barcelona for the past 6 years.
  4. Every Wednesday you can find me woordturning at the wood workshop making some Boleros.
  5. Passionate and very curious about artisanal crafts and traditions.
  6. I love using my hands to build and create objetcs, models and furniture.
  7. I take the multidisciplinary word very seriosly: from concept to graphic, to 3D model to prototype, to social media to photography. I can do a little bit of everything.
  8. I get excited about that thin line between art and design.
  9. Curating and producing art exhibitions is a what I’m lately more drawn too. Also, non-related, climbing.
  10. Hands-on type of person.
  11. Yoga (almost) every day.
  12. Love connecting and hosting people.
